Rallye Breslau

Poland, 27/06/2022 - 01/07/2022

From June 26 to July 1, the famous Rallye Breslau was held in Żagań and Drawsko Pomorskie. Competitors this year tackled the historic route, from many years ago, as well as the night competition on the Drawsko training grounds, covering a total of more than 1,000 kilometers. The Proxcars TME Rally Team also took on this challenge, with the Rallye Breslau finishing in 12th place in the Cars Open class.
The prologue, which opened the rally in the morning, was only seven kilometers long. Magda Zając and Adam Szelerski did great on the route, finishing sixth in class.
During stage one, on June 27, three special sections with a total length of 127 kilometers awaited the competitors. The route led through Polish mounded sands. On this day the Proxcars TME Rally Team finished fifth in its class.
The next day didn't go so well - due to a navigation mistake, the team cut the finish line instead of going on the next loop, which made the Polish duo miss the second stage with a total length of 190 kilometers. The team placed far down in the classification.
On Wednesday, the rally caravan moved to Drawsko Pomorskie to fight in three more stages there, and then cross the finish line and end the struggle. There, a lot of overtaking and making up for the previous day's events awaited Magda Zając and Adam Szelerski. Stage three totaled 240 kilometers, and the previously mentioned team placed 28th.
Stage four had a total of nearly 260 kilometers. On its route, the competitors had to cross water obstacles and holes full of mud, created earlier. It did not rain too much during the competition. On that day, the participating drivers covered two special stages, one at night. The Proxcars TME Rally Team placed ninth during the day and fourteenth at night.
The last stage took place on Friday and was 80 kilometers long. During it, Magda Zając and Adam Szelerski showed great pace, eventually recording the fifth position on the stage and advancing to twelfth place in the overall classification of the competition.

Magda Zając felt great competing against many drivers:

- Behind us is already the largest cross-country rally organized in Poland, which I personally like very much. Unlike other rallies, there are dozens of crews competing in my class, and it's a different feeling than starting in a group of a few cars.

- This was my second Breslau, but this year was special because of the person in the right seat. The team leader, Adam Szelerski, as he is referred to, let himself be persuaded to finally get to know "from the other side" how the car he invented, built, and improves performs. I think it was an interesting and useful experience for both of us- said the Pole, summing up Szelerski's performance in the pilot's seat.

Hare, however, believes that they could have afforded more:

- In the end, we took 12th position in the Open class, out of 39 cars competing. We could have afforded more. We finished some sections in positions like fifth, sixth, and seventh, but this is a difficult rally with a very evenly matched field, so small mistakes cost a lot. The important thing is that each time our Bestyjka confirms that under the care of Proxcars it is a reliable, versatile, and downright armored car, ready to take off in African deserts as well as Drawsko tank roads.

Now, another test awaits the Proxcars TME Rally Team drivers: soon, on July 7-10, they will face the rocky river valleys during the Italian Baja.
